Five Markets in West Jakarta are Safe from Hazardous Substances

The West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency, conducted a sudden inspection (sidak) in five markets in a bid to create a sense of security and comfort to the community for products on the market.

We urge the public to be careful in choosing the products to be consumed

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Iwan Indriyanto said, those five markets were Tomang Barat, Grogol, Duta Mas, Jelambar Polri, and Timbul Barat.

"We examined three fresh samples from agriculture, livestock and fisheries, as well as other commodities such as chilies, rice, beef, chicken and fish," he expressed, Tuesday (3/16).

His party had taken 262 samples consisting of 126 agricultural samples, 40 livestock samples and 96 fisheries samples. Hundreds of these samples were tested on the spot in laboratory cars.

"As a results, they are negative from hazardous materials and substances. We urge the public to be careful in choosing the products to be consumed," he stated.
